I too, pride myself on my excellent online selling reputation and would feel terrible if I was in your situation to the point of losing sleep! However, I feel that 30 days is too long to report damage, whether it was caused by shipping or misrepresentation. Regardless of whos to blame, I believe he shot himself in the foot by not inspecting the items in a timely matter. I would explain to him that you are certain of their condition when they left and that you would help him in any way you could in filing a claim with the shipper. NO REFUND. He'll bad mouth you, trash your name, but it's on him lying or not.
